How much of your go-live evidence can you actually point to?

A status report says the programme is green. This check asks something different. For each of the six things a go-live depends on, can you point to the evidence, or have you only been told? Answer for your own programme and see which conditions are evidenced and which are still open.

In the most recent mock or rehearsal, was the migrated data reconciled to source (balances, open items, master-data counts)?
Is every material difference from that reconciliation either resolved, or explained with a named owner and a reference?

2 of 6Reconciliation convergence

Across the last two or three mock loads, have the reconciliation differences been getting smaller?
Can you see the difference figures for each mock load side by side, rather than being told the trend?

3 of 6Open go-live defects

Is there one defect list that the client can read directly, not a summary prepared by the integrator?
Is every severity 1 and 2 defect closed, or carrying a named, written acceptance?

4 of 6Dress rehearsal

Has a full dress rehearsal of the cutover been run end to end, in the window planned for go-live?
Were the timings and the outcome recorded, with every deviation explained?

5 of 6Controls posture (access, segregation of duties, logging)

Has user access been tested against the target roles, including a segregation-of-duties check?
Are logging and the audit trail in place on the target system, and tested?

6 of 6Cutover runbook

Is there a written cutover runbook with a named owner for every step and a point at which the rollback decision is taken?
Has the runbook been exercised, with the changes from the rehearsal recorded in it?
